Frequently asked questions

What is the free trial?

ABC Music Studio is free to use for one week. No payment is required to start the trial — you can begin trying the app right away. After seven days, the subscription renews at $1.99 per month unless you cancel.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by ICM Labs. To cancel:

  1. Open the Settings app on your device.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
  3. Find ABC Music Studio in the list and tap Cancel Subscription.

You can also manage subscriptions in the App Store app: tap your profile picture, then Subscriptions.

If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged.

How do I get a refund?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select the ABC Music Studio purchase to request a refund.

What is ABC notation?

ABC is a text-based music notation format created in the early 1990s. It lets you write music using ordinary keyboard characters — letters for notes, numbers for durations, and a small set of symbols for everything else. It’s widely used for traditional and folk music, and is supported by many tools.

A short example:

X:1
T:Twinkle Twinkle
M:4/4
L:1/4
K:C
C C G G | A A G2 | F F E E | D D C2 |

You don’t need to learn ABC to use ABC Music Studio — the app provides tools for writing notation visually, with ABC as the underlying format.

Can I export sheet music as a PDF?

Yes. ABC Music Studio renders your notation as engraved sheet music and lets you export it as a PDF for printing or sharing.

What platforms is ABC Music Studio available on?

ABC Music Studio is currently available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac through the App Store.

Where is my data stored?

Your tunes are stored locally on your device. ABC Music Studio does not require an account, and we do not upload your music to our servers.
